Caring for your items and cleaning

Please do NOT machine wash anything you purchase from us.

Bikinis

Bikinis should be spot cleaned, or dry cleaned* only. The delicacy of the designs and the metal connectors, or crystal embellishments will get damaged if you wash your costume in a machine, or with abrasive chemicals. Take extreme care when cleaning and treat it as you would a wedding dress that you love. Avoid getting perfumes, moisturisers or any other chemicals on any part of the suit. Tan may or may not come out with dry cleaning and that is to be expected.

Spot clean with a gentle detergent, cloth and warm water and air dry. Tan may or may not come out with cleaning and that is to be expected.

Swimsuits

Much the same as with bikinis, one piece swimsuits should be handled with care and dry or spot cleaned only. Avoid getting perfumes, moisturisers or any other chemicals on any part of the suit. Tan may or may not come out with cleaning and that is to be expected.

Robes

Due to the custom printing and delicate fabric of the robes, these should not be machine washed so as to avoid any peeling, or crystals coming loose. You can hand wash the robe using a bucket of warm water and detergent, but be sure to rinse thoroughly and avoid any vigorous scrubbing.

If you forget, and accidentally machine wash and the vinyls peel, you can iron them back down using a low heat. Please ensure you use a protective sheet or layer of baking paper to look after your satin.

Tanzies

Our poly blend Tanzies should be washed on a cool, gentle wash. Due to the nature of the fabric and customisation, you want to avoid any hot temperatures and rough washes to ensure longevity in your tanning suit and avoid any shrinking.

If you forget, and accidentally use a hot machine wash and the vinyls peel, you can iron them back down using a low-medium  heat. Please ensure you use a protective sheet or layer of baking paper to look after your Tanzie.

Theme Wear

Treat your costume like a delicate wedding dress you want to guard with your life! Theme wear often contains chains, gems, props and feathers that are fragile and should not be man-handled. You should store your theme wear in the box provided, in a cool, dry place and avoid getting in and out unless necessary.

Try to avoid catching the chains on any sheer fabrics, and avoid roughing up the costume. Laces and finishes can be extremely delicate and can catch easily, so be gentle and handle with extreme care.

General

You may wish to resell your items so you will get more value from them if they are properly looked after. In most cases, it is just using common sense, but as a general rule, be gentle, and avoid any stretching of the costume, rough handling, and please take care.
